How much does a private enforcement charge?
Another question we get all the time is how much do we charge… that’s a great question. Unlike government agencies that are funded by us taxpayers, we don’t get any funding from the government. Therefore, private enforcement agencies much charge a fee to it’s clients for its services. Most private enforcement agencies charge a “contingency fee” which is a percentage of what is collected. Some however, also charge a “set-up fee” or “case development fee”. We choose not to do that and only charge if we are successful. If we are able to collect, our fee would be 30% of each payment as we collect. You would receive 70% of each payment recovered. Most of our clients have waited several years to receive anything and are owed $15-20,000 in unpaid support so they say “70% of something is better than 100% of nothing”. If we are unsuccessful, you owe us nothing. In other words, there is no fee due.
As you can see you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by allowing us the opportunity to work your case. Please give me a call to discuss the specifics of your case!
