Question… can you collect child support from someone who works for cash…
This is a question we get a lot… our answer… maybe yes and maybe no. It all depends. Private agencies such as us look for income and assets to try to attach to. Since you already know with some certainty that the NCP works for cash, our option would be to try and locate him and apply pressure so that a payment plan can be secured. Understand that sometimes we can apply pressure to the person or entity that is paying him in cash. Legally, this person or entity needs to deduct for child support when notified that there is in fact a child support order in effect. That is how we are able to secure payments in a “cash only” type of income situation.
If we cannot collect, if we had some information to provide, we are glad to provide it to you which may help you have him prosecuted through the county.
It’s worth the chance to see if collection is possible so, if you are in this situation, please go ahead and start the online application and then complete the paperwork and let’s see if we can find the info to be successful and get your child support.
